Madrid, February 4, 2020.- This Tuesday, Iberdrola México received the 2019 Ibero-American Quality Award, an international recognition awarded by the General Ibero-American Secretariat (SEGIB) and the Ibero-American Foundation for Quality Management (FUNDIBEQ) to organizations with practices of excellence in quality and competitiveness.
The company is the first Mexican private energy company in the industry to receive this award.
Iberdrola México CEO, Enrique Alba, received the award from the General Ibero-American Secretary, Rebeca Grynspan, in a ceremony held at the Spanish Confederation of Business Organizations (CEOE) in Madrid, with the presence of the Vice-President of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation of the Spanish Government, Nadia Calviño.
“Receiving this award is an honor for Iberdrola México, which is proof of the rigor and excellence of our human team and processes. Additionally, it demonstrates our strong commitment to ethics, the social dividend, the environment, and efficiency, which undoubtedly are part of our corporate strategy”.

The Ibero-American Quality Award, delivered for the first time in 1999, is aimed at recognizing excellence in management of winning organizations to help the Ibero-American community to be considered of high quality, to foster the development of Ibero-American organizations, as well as to promote self-evaluation and best practices among institutions.
To participate in this award, organizations require to have previously won the National Award in their country or having received an international recognition. In 2018, Iberdrola México became the first private company in the electrical industry to be awarded the Mexican National Quality Award.
